Le Moustache
"Don't take my picture."
"Don't take my picture!"
Aha! Now we know why he didn't want his picture taken, he was in disguise!

New Playground
Evan and Eliana checked out a new playground the other day. Well, not exactly new, but new to them. This one has a dinosaur slide.
No ride is too small for Evan.
Evan and Eliana take a break with Daddy. It was a hot day, not as hot as during the heat wave, but still pretty darn hot. Evan and Eliana met a nice brother and sister at the playground and had fun running around and playing with them.

Poppop's Corvette
Evan and Eliana love sitting in Poppop's Corvette. From the minute they hear that engine rev up in the garage, they want to go and see Poppop's car. (No, they didn't leave the driveway without a car seat.)
Despite being the tender age of 3, Evan is quite good at driving a 5 speed manual transmission. I just wish they'd wear their seat belts like I tell them.

The Long Shadows of Late Summer
The days are getting shorter, but you'd hardly notice, it's still light out until 8 o'clock, and even though it's noticeably cooler, it's still in the high 80s. Still, I feel like I can almost sense fall coming, and as much as I wined about how bad last winter was, I'm looking forward to cooler temperatures, and all the fun things you get to do with the kids in the fall months. It's been a great summer and we're going to make the most of what we have left of those long, warm days.
Self Portrait of Daddy
I did a self portrait in crayon for Evan, not sure how I feel about Evan's blood red addition to the piece.

Dinosaurs!
Evan checking out the T. Rex skull. Evan and I went to the Delaware Museum of Natural History in Wilmington, DE today.
Don't touch the dinosaurs! Evan checks out a Yangchuanosaurus, (yeah, good luck trying to say that!) It's an Asian relative of the North American Allosaurus.
Tuojiangosaurus, closely related to the North American Stegosaurus, also unearthed in China.
Evan had a great time at the museum. We went around all the exhibits at least twice. He played with every interactive thing they had, and I had a tough time getting him out of there, he didn't want to go home.
