Warm Fall

It's been an unusually warm Fall, at least as far as I can remember. We had the freak snowstorm on Oct 29, but besides that, we've had quite a few warm, sunny days this Fall. With temperatures expected to be in the low 60s all Thanksgiving weekend, we'll try to take the kids out to take advantage of it.

Parent Visitation Day!

In a few short weeks, Evan went from not wanting to go to school, to loving going to school.

Evan and Mommy pose in front of the school. This was a few days before parent visitation day, Mommy and Daddy went on the wrong day, but no worries, we got Evan to school early, and got some nice photos!

Evan was so excited to see his sister come and visit him at school. Eliana kept saying, "My school, my school!"

Evan and his classmates recite the pledge of allegiance.

Lance, We Will Miss You...

It's never easy saying goodbye to a family pet, and even though Lance was with us for many years, it still felt like it was too soon. He was an alpha male, a hunter, an apex predator, but also sweet, kind, and affectionate. He loved being outdoors, and certainly was the boss of his territory. No mouse was safe, no neighborhood cat was safe crossing Lance's path. Yet he was really gentle with the kids, even when the kids got a little too rough with him, he showed restraint. During the last few months, his health deteriorated rapidly, and it became apparent that something was wrong. A few days ago, we had to say goodbye. It's just not the same around here without him. We will miss you Lance.

More Cuteness.

Evan and Eliana gave me a TON of great shots the other day. They were so cooperative. Well, as cooperative as toddlers can be, anyway. They still got mad at me and wanted to stop taking pictures. But for a few moments on a beautiful, late autumn day towards sunset, they let me take some great pictures of them.

Sick, Sick, Sick.

It's been a tough week for Genevieve and the kids. For everyone really. It started with Evan feeling sick, now Eliana and Genevieve. Evan had a horrible cough, and we wound up taking both of them to the doctor. They're now on medication, and I'm hoping everyone is better in time for us to travel next week. Now Eliana has the cough, although not as bad as Evan's, but still. It's hard to watch them suffer, especially when there's not much you can do. So we just made them comfortable, there was a lot of lying on the couch, wrapped in blankets, watching movies, and a lot of TLC.

Brother and Sister

Beautiful image of Eliana and Evan taken yesterday. It was one of the nicest Autumn days ever. 70 degrees, and even though both kids are still sick, it was warm enough to venture outside for a bit before sunset. It's so hard to get the two of them to pose together, but this one was perfect.

Things Daddy Has Been Working On

Lowe's Christmas Commercial in Brooklyn...

Microsoft Ad at the South Street Seaport...

Launch of the new Apple Store entrance on 5th Ave...

Thankfully, it's been a busy fall. Things have been going really well at work, and I'm really looking forward to this family trip we have coming up. I'm just hoping things are still busy when we get back. Come on, economy, get moving!

School Days

Here he is, all grown up! Evan came home with his preschool pictures the other day looking so handsome with such a great smile. He looks like he's 5 years old! Evan really enjoys school now and is impressing us with what he's been learning. The other night, he recited the "Pledge of Allegiance" all by himself. I was floored. He's really been enjoying himself and making lots of new friends.
