It's funny to see Evan showing Eliana the back of the camera in the second photo. He has no idea that with 'analog' photography, you can't see the photo instantly. No matter, we had fun at Urban Outfitters last night in Ardmore, PA
Eliana and Evan checking out the computers at the Apple Store at Suburban Square in Ardmore, PA.
I wish I had taken a photo of it, but Mommy's iPhone fell face down on the tile floor last week, and the glass screen completely shattered. We went there expecting the worst, that we would have to buy a completely new phone but the good people at the Apple Store were nice enough to do a one time replacement for us. Saved us quite a bit of money. Mommy wasted no time in buying us both iPhone covers. Evan enjoyed playing on the computer in the kid's section while he waited for Mommy & Daddy. I was there having my laptop looked over at the Genius Bar. It was running unusually slow, and they were able to fix the problem without opening up the computer. So we left the store pretty happy, Mommy's smashed phone replaced, and my computer fixed.
Evan's Uncle Frank came by this morning to work on Nana and Poppop's car. Evan wanted to help. It reminded me of years ago when I was about 3 or 4 watching my brother Paul working on his 1969 Camaro. I always used to enjoy watching people work on cars when I was a kid, and it looks like Evan is the same way. He loves tools and is certainly not afraid to get his hands dirty.
I'm putting together a video of Eliana crawling, but now, she's starting to try and stand up from a sitting position. Crazy! She pulls herself up on furniture, especially if there's food there, or Evan's sippy cup. We often walk in the living room to find Eliana drinking juice from Evan's sippy cup, or trying to take Evan's food. She's really trying hard to get up on her own two feet even though she's only 8 months old. Won't be long before she's up and running after Evan.
We went to this a few weeks ago. It takes me forever to edit nowadays, but it's finally finished. Just some clips of when Evan went to the Yo Gabba Gabba Live "After Party" Meet and Greet in Hershey, PA. Some of Genevieve's friends from work were able to get us in and we really got the VIP treatment. Everyone on the touring staff were so wonderful. DJ Lance was a saint maintaining his cool with so many kids wanting his attention. Evan even got to hi five Biz! (He does "Biz's Beat of the Day" on the show.) We couldn't take Eliana this time because she was home sick. I hope she forgives us when she sees this video when she's older.
I was holding Eliana tonight, making her bottle before bed, and I felt her leaning away from me, and I thought she was looking at something on the ground. She was passed out completely and starting to fall off of my shoulder. I guess she couldn't wait for her bedtime bottle, too tired. Nana took some photos...
I spent the last couple of days home with the kids. Mommy was working today, so it was just me and the kids. We had a nice, quiet day together, and since we had near perfect autumn weather, we spent a few hours at one of the local playgrounds. (Photos taken with "Hipstamatic" for the iPhone)
Our baby girl as grown up right before our eyes. She's well on her way to walking, and already says "Dada" and loves to play with her big brother Evan. She's already started eating solid foods, (baby food in a jar,) and is already trying to steal all the grown up food. (She tried to steal my pizza crust the other night.) She has amazed us with her milestones every step of the way. The second she is up on her own two feet, we are all in trouble!
My beautiful baby girl is 8 months old today. Happy 8 month old birthday baby!
