2008 World Series Champions!

Phillies won! yay! And Evan was awake to watch the entire game, all three and a half innings! He watched the game with his Pop-Pop, sitting on his lap trying to eat his chips, reaching for his beer and yelling at the t.v. As soon as the Phillies won it was lights out for Evan, he fell right to sleep, even though there were fireworks going off, cars honking their horns, and people outside like it was new years eve banging pots and pans. See, Pop-Pop was right, he is a good luck charm!

Good Luck Charm continues

Well, all I'll say is that once again, Evan was awake for half of the game tonight and the Phillies won again! The strange thing is that after a few hours of rain delay, he woke up just as they were singing the national anthem! It was like he knew the game was starting! - Mommy

new noises

Evan came up with this new noise the other day. I have no idea where it came from, he just woke up one day doing it and hasn't stopped since! He's been making "rasberries" for a few weeks, but now adds a new noise to his daily chatter. He's been very chatty lately.

Jammies

We had to get Evan some new PJs yesterday, he's outgrown his current PJs. He's currently on the border of 9 months leaning into 12 month size. He's a big boy! It's too bad because the little blue puppy dog feety pajamas were my favorite. Another one of my favorites is little baby feet in feety pajamas. So cute! - Mommy

Wanna hold the baby?

this is what it is like to hold Evan

Good Luck Charm

Poor Evan got his shots on Tuesday, and it seems like he is still feeling the side effects from them. He was actually fine right after he got them, we found the nicest nurse and she was so sweet and gentle that he cried just for a second and then gave us one of his big smiles and I thought we were in the clear! Boy was I wrong, a few hours later the poor baby was crying his heart out, there was nothing I could do to settle him, so Pete ran (as fast as he could) out to the store to get him some infant tylenol. It seemed to have worked, he stoped crying and fell asleep. But he's still feeling warmer than normal and his sleep schedule is all messed up these last few nights. Wednesday he didn't want to sleep at all, just a tiny nap and then cried himself to sleep at bedtime only to wake up just in time for the World Series. I wonder if he planned this? He had a great time watching the World Series with his Pop-Pop though. Pop-Pop said he was his good luck charm and I think he was right because the Phillies won the game that night! Evan slept right through Thursday nights game and the Phillies lost. Maybe I should wake him up for the rest of the World Series?

New Pics From Mommy

Evan's personality really seems to have emerged in the last two weeks. He laughs and smiles all of the time. he really is a happy baby. He's not quite talking yet, but he's sure making a lot of noise. He loves to try and talk to the dogs, gets chatty when he sees other babies. Also, he's in the early stages of teething, if you can't tell by the amount of drool on his t-shirt. Evan had his second round of shots today, and from what Mommy tells me, it went much better than last time. The nurse Evan had this time was much more gentle then the one he had last time, and he only cried for a little bit. We wanted to space the shots out over two or three doctor visits because we were concerned about what we had heard about babies getting all of their shots at once.

Just got back to Philly tonight, I'm completely wiped out. Just wanted to get a photo up before I went to bed. Evan's doing great. Every time I come back from the work week, he's grown visibly bigger. Genevieve just got him to sleep the minute I walked in the door tonight, but I walked in the bedroom and his eyes lit up and he gave me a big smile. Boy it's great to be home, even if only for a day.

Evan's Thoughts on Turning 4 Months Old

Evan turned 4 months old today! I was in New York doing prep work on a commercial for Barack Obama that we'll be shooting on Thursday October 2nd in Queens, NY. Genevieve did send me this video of Evan's Press Conference in which he discusses his thoughts on turning 4 months old, and his plans for the future, it's very interesting. Please enjoy!

I have to give Genevieve credit for keeping up the Daddy Diaries. She's been doing almost all of the photography for the last month or so while I'm away at work in New York. She'll send me the pictures via e-mail, then I'll post them on the blog at night. And thanks to her, it's kept the blog going. I haven't had a chance to photograph Evan in several weeks, which is unusual for me. Sometimes I'm so busy with work, I don't even have time to write a few paragraphs about the photos or what's going on in Evan's life.

Today was our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Our Wedding Day was a surreal, beautiful day. Although the clouds were ominously threatening rain all morning, they parted the sky just in time for the ceremony and everything fell into place. We had an unforgettable day with our family and closest friends. Regrettably, we completely dropped the ball on our "Thank You" cards after the wedding. We even went as far as putting them all together, but never got them out the door. To everyone who attended our wedding, we say a heartfelt "Thank You," but also "We're Sorry" for not getting all of the "Thank You" cards out in time. Love, Pete & Genevieve
