Evan using "The Dragon" at the bowling alley. Evan got his first ever strike at Frankie's 11th Birthday Party. 2/18/11
Eliana and Mommy having some bowling fun. Eliana didn't bowl, but she enjoyed music from Lady GaGa and Michael Jackson, bobbing her head and kicking her feet. I think she's going to be the dancer in the family.

Yep, it's that time of year. The days are short and it's too cold to play outside. This week, both Evan and Eliana were sick. Evan Liked being wrapped up in towels and blankets after his bath. Here he his just after a bath a few days ago. He spent most of the week feeling terrible.
Elvis and Evan relaxing this week in the living room. Evan likes to watch his Nick Jr. shows and catch naps on Pop Pop's chair when he's not feeling well.
Can you tell Eliana's sick? She spent the day that was supposed to be her First Birthday party lounging out and wanting to be held. Poor baby.
Eliana napping today. Photo from Mommy's iPhone. Eliana's been extra sleepy lately. I hope she doesn't get as sick as Evan did.

Don't be sad little Eliana, we'll still have a big party for you! First it was Evan, now Eliana is sick. She's spent most of today, the day that was supposed to be her big first birthday party, in bed. We certainly didn't want anyone else to get sick, so we had to postpone the party indefinitely. We may reschedule for some time in March or April. Hopefully, the weather will be much nicer then, and the kids will be all better!

Eliana's Birthday cake. For those who don't know, Acme offers a free Birthday Cake for kids celebrating their First Birthday. (Birth Certificate Required.)
We had a small family party for Eliana on her actual birthday. As you can see, Evan is not feeling well and was sick all week. Now Eliana is sick and it's a good thing we called the party off. It's been a rough week for all of us, especially the kids, and we're not out of the woods yet. Eliana's just starting to show signs of being sick and Evan hasn't been himself in over a week.
Eliana wasn't so sure what to do. She tried to put the candles out with her fingers, just like Evan tried to on his first birthday. So Daddy had to help her blow out the candle.

The Birthday Girl
What are you looking at?
I spent most of Eliana's Birthday morning running around trying to find her pink heart shaped balloons. You'd think it would be easy being so close to Valentine's Day, but it was just the opposite. The first two stores I went to, one had run out of helium, and the other had run out of the pink heart balloons. One of the ladies that worked there was nice enough to call around to all of their other stores to see if they had any pink heart balloons left over, none of them had any left, except for the last one she called. So off I went to the only store in the Philadelphia area with any pink heart balloons and helium left. Luckily, Eliana was in the middle of a 3 hour nap when I got back. So Evan, Mommy, and me went up to her room to surprise her when she woke up. These shots are of Evan and Eliana playing in her crib just after she woke up.

I took Evan and Eliana to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia on Sunday. Earlier, we went to the Auto Show, and Reading Terminal Market, but it was just way too crowded, the stroller had a flat tire, and I had to carry Evan and push the stroller, it was just too much. So we headed over to the Franklin Institute, which was much more subdued. Evan enjoyed most of the exhibits, even if he didn't know what they were about, and Eliana just had a great time running around in the main lobby where the giant Benjamin Franklin statue is seated.

Diver jumps in to check on a sick Tiger Shark.
Evan and Eliana in the Shark Tunnel.
Took Evan and Eliana to the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ this weekend. They had such a great time, they really enjoyed looking at all the big fishies! We were the last ones out, the poor girl trying to close had to push us along. Evan did not want to leave. "I just wanna stay here, Daddy." I had to promise him that we'd come back.
