Playground

Had some fun at the local playground today. Evan met a little 4 year old girl that he played with for hours. He told me he liked her. I think he was sad when it was time to leave. He's quite the ladies man, you know. Be nice to the girls Evan, be nice. Eliana enjoyed the sand box, but spent most of the time chasing Evan and his new girlfriend around. She must have been tired, because she cried all the way home and demanded to go to bed right away.

Going Private

Just a note that the "Daddy Diaries" is going "Private," meaning it can no longer be seen by the general public, and can be viewed by invite only.

Cup Stacking

Evan's cousin Frankie introduced Even to the world of Speed Cup Stacking, now Evan is all into it.

The idea is to build up a stack of cups then break it down as quickly as possible. Evan is
getting pretty good at it.

Star Wars

Evan and Frankie pose with a Storm Trooper. These aren't the kids you're looking for.
The Star Wars characters were members of "Garrison Carida," a group of volunteers
who dress up as Star Wars characters at various community events.

Evan offers up a high five for the Storm Trooper

Frank and Evan with Darth Vader. Notice Evan keeping a safe distance.
Eliana kept an even safer distance, in Mommy's arms.

Boba Fett!

Storm Trooper asking to borrow Eliana's binky. She's not giving it up, no way, no how.

Thanks for taking the photo Frankie!

March Beach Day

A beach day in March? Believe it. We spent the day at Sunset Beach in Cape May, NJ, and it wasn't freezing. The kids had a blast playing and digging in the sand. Evan even went into the 54 degree water.
The formation you see on the left side of the photo is a WWI era experimental Concrete Ship that ran ashore in a storm in June 1926. What remains of the ship (SS Atlantus) is still visible less than 100 yards from the shoreline. The beach is also famous for it's "Cape May Diamonds," small quartz pebbles that wash up on the beach that are clear, and resemble diamonds. For years, I've wanted to get a rock tumbler and make them even smoother, might be a good project for the kids another day.

Collecting "Cape May Diamonds" at Sunset Beach.

Eliana: Still won't let her bare feet touch the sand.

Tricked again! We have to trick them to look at the camera.

In Bloom

Well, Spring has come early to this part of the country, and even though this Winter wasn't that bad, it's still a welcome sign to see flowers blooming and being able to feel the warmth of the sun on your face.

Daddy's Birthday

Had a great little birthday celebration with the kids when I got home from work on Tuesday. I walked in the door and they came running up to me, screaming "Happy Birthday Daddy!" Can't beat that. It made my day. Evan and Eliana made me birthday cards and helped to make me a brownie cake, with a big letter "P" in green on it. Most of the icing had already been sampled by the helpers, but the brownies were very good.

Door To Nowhere.

Just noticed this today at the location we've been filming at this week. I'd hate to be in a rush leaving for work and head out the wrong door! It's a historic house in Philadelphia, and they're not allowed to make any physical changes to the exterior. So when they took the stairway down, they had to leave the doorway as is, at least on the outside. It's walled off on the inside to prevent any mishaps.

Birthdays

So we were celebrating two birthdays this week, Frankie, who's birthday was Feb 17th, and Ava, who turned 15 on March 9th. Frankie and Ava were in Alabama on his birthday, so we celebrated today. We went bowling tonight, and everyone had a blast, especially Evan!

Evan was excited for his first time wearing bowling shoes.

Look at him go!

Eliana tries bowling with a little help from Mommy and the Dragon.

Evan throws his whole body into the shot.

Love This...

Just came across this from yesterday. I like everything about it.

Eliana Isabella at 2 Years.

Eliana, taken today March 3, 2012.

Been real busy with work lately, which is a good thing, but I haven't made the time to post the latest photos. Eliana has been talking a lot more, using sentences, and saying new words every day. She also likes singing, and drawing, she draws these neat little circles that she calls 'eyes.'
