Mommy, 8 Months...

This baby is ready...she's kicking like crazy and staying up all night! With a little over a month to go, we're scrambling to try and get everything ready. We've been trying to let Evan know he's going to have a little sister in a few short weeks, but I'm sure he doesn't quite grasp the idea yet. Although he did kiss Mommy's belly today, so maybe he has some idea. We've been talking about names, and I think we're close to deciding baby's name. Of course, we're not telling anyone until February 16th, unless she decides to arrive sooner, but I think she'll be happy with the name we've picked for her.

Things I Did Today

Watched "Yo Gabba Gabba."

Went to the park and played with my new football.

Showed Daddy how I throw the soccer ball.

Ran for a touchdown.

Went on the jungle gym.

Stomped on the ice with my feet.

Posed for pictures for Daddy.

Then Daddy let me drive home.

Some words I said today:
Lucy
Baby
Elvi (Elvis)
Boo Boo
Apple
Trash
Canny (Candy)
Money

Rockin' Out!

Evan decided to show off some of his rock star poses during his 19 month photo shoot. We did not tell him to do any of these poses, it was all him! Not sure where he learned to play the guitar behind his head, but man, he sure is entertaining!

Evan on the Drums

Evan on the Drums from Pete Burke on Vimeo.

This was Evan tonight. Way, way after his bedtime. He's certainly getting better at the drums! He hurt his little hand but kept on going. Must have been inspired by the classic Keith Moon clip we watched on YouTube just minutes before he decided to go and play his drums.

Here's some of Evan's latest words:
Binky
Touchdown!
Yeah.
No (shakes head)
Hiiiieeee (how he says "hi")
Nanny (instead of Nana)
Poop
Juice

Happy New Year! 2010

2010. Remember when that sounded like science fiction? Well, it's here.

Evan stayed up well past 12am. Banging on his drum just after the stroke of midnight.
